Bike to School Week is NEXT WEEK! Be sure to fill up your child's tires this weekend so that they can participate. Get your student excited to ride: throughout the week we will have a “bike fairy” leaving prizes on parked bikes and some schools are organizing 'Bike Buses,' where supervised students ride to school from a meeting point .

We hope that you join in on the fun and use this as a chance to show your child how enjoyable active transportation can be!

Happy Bike to School Week, fellow bikers! Let's give a warm welcome to our lovely Bike Fairy who has taken off to spread joy and happiness across all Beaverton elementary schools this week. This pedaling sprite is on a mission to leave a surprise on every bike it comes across, so make sure you ride your bike every day this week to increase your chances of snagging a prize. Let's make this week a celebration of biking, fun, and active transportation!

Semana de Ir a la Escuela en Bicicleta

¡La Semana de Ir a la Escuela en Bicicleta es la PRÓXIMA SEMANA! Asegúrate de inflar las llantas de tu hijo este fin de semana para que pueda participar. Anima a tu estudiante a montar: durante toda la semana tendremos una "hada de la bicicleta" dejando premios en las bicicletas estacionadas y algunas escuelas están organizando "Autobuses de Bicicletas", donde estudiantes supervisados montan a la escuela desde un punto de encuentro.

Esperamos que te unas a la diversión y aproveches esta oportunidad para mostrarle a tu hijo lo agradable que puede ser el transporte activo.

¡Feliz Semana de Ir a la Escuela en Bicicleta, compañeros ciclistas! Demos una cálida bienvenida a nuestra encantadora Hada de la Bicicleta que ha despegado para esparcir alegría y felicidad en todas las escuelas primarias de Beaverton esta semana. Esta duendecilla pedaleadora tiene la misión de dejar una sorpresa en cada bicicleta con la que se encuentre, así que asegúrate de montar tu bicicleta todos los días de esta semana para aumentar tus posibilidades de conseguir un premio. Celebremos esta semana en honor al ciclismo, la diversión y el transporte activo.

Organizing a Bike Bus is a great way to make biking to school possible for everyone! A volunteer meets the student cyclists at a park, and they ride to school together as a group. The Beaverton Safe Routes to School team will help you with promotional materials, choosing a route, safety guidance, and one of our team will join you on the ride to assist.

Contact us today to start planning!

Set up a simple skills course for students to use after school before they ride home using chalk and cones. An adult volunteer with a first aid kit sets the course up and supervises students.
