Use this event planning guide to plan your school's celebration!
Encourage students to walk or roll to school, rain or shine! Safe Routes staff will deliver prizes to your school, provide suggestions on how to celebrate the day, and promotional graphics for you to share with families. This is not a district-wide event, so please be sure to register by 2/28 so that we can support you.
Promotional materials
Spread the word! Share the graphics and text below on social media, in newsletters, and in parent square. Print the 11x17 poster to hang around the school. Print reminder stickers on mailing labels and put them on your students the day before the event.

Winter Walk + Roll to School Day encourages students and families to enjoy active transportation in the winter and all year round. So bundle up and join the fun on Wednesday, March 13th! A walk in the fresh air is the perfect way to prepare for a day in the classroom - make it special by meeting up and walking with a friend!

El DÃa de Caminar + Rodar a la Escuela en Invierno anima a los estudiantes y sus familias a disfrutar del transporte activo en invierno y durante todo el año. ¡Asà que abrÃgate y únete a la diversión el miércoles 13 de marzo! Una caminata al aire libre es la manera perfecta de prepararse para un dÃa en el aula; hazlo especial encontrándote y caminando con un amigo.

- Plan your route.
- Set out your coat, lights, helmet, and gear.
- If biking, check the tire pressure, lights, and chain.
- Think of a way to make it fun!
- Leave early so you can take your time enjoying being outside.
