This winter, let's promote healthy habits and reduce traffic
congestion by getting students active on their way to
school. Safe Routes staff will deliver prizes to your
school, provide exciting suggestions on how to celebrate
the day, and supply promotional graphics for you to share
with families.

Let's work together to make this chilly season fun and
active while emphasizing the importance of safe and
sustainable transportation.

Because this is an optional event, please
be sure to register by 3/01 so that Safe
Routes to School can support you!

Winter Walk + Roll to School Day encourages students and families to
enjoy active transportation in the winter and all year round. So bundle
up and join the fun on Wednesday, March 19th! A walk in the fresh air
is the perfect way to prepare for a day in the classroom - make it
special by meeting up and walking with a friend!

Día de Caminar + Rodar a la Escuela en Invierno

El Día de Caminar + Rodar a la Escuela en Invierno anima a los
estudiantes y sus familias a disfrutar del transporte activo en
invierno y durante todo el año. ¡Así que abrígate y únete a la
diversión el miércoles 19 de marzo! Una caminata al aire libre es la
manera perfecta de prepararse para un día en el aula; hazlo

before this event:

• Plan your route.
• Set out your coat, lights, helmet, and gear.
• If biking, check the tire pressure, lights, and chain.
• Think of a way to make it fun!
• Leave early so you can take your time enjoying being outside.

consejos para la noche anterior a este evento:
